Screen Walls Quote - Before You Start.

You can use this online form to define the layout, dimensions and options for the screened in porch kit. The more details we know, the more accurate your quote will be. The best process is to either submit a drawing or follow our online guide for defining all of the product specs we need to provide you with a no obligation quotation.

If you are screening in a space that either has no existing posts (open walls) or you need screen walls for openings between EXISTING posts, you can fill out a form online to receive a no-obligation quoation by email within a few days.

Screen Wall System

Our screen wall systems are designed with the handy homeowner in mind. The units are modular which enable many customizations and almost any size. Below are some of the key elements and terminology used in describing and quoting our cover kits.

In some cases you will already have existing posts holding up the ceiling/roof of the space you want to screen in. We'll need to know the height of your walls, if they are different we will need to know the height of each opening/post. The location will be determined by the openings in each wall (see Walls and Openings).
While the most common configuration is a three-wall system (with the fourth wall being the back/house wall) it is possible to have four or more wall systems build. The key thing to note here is how many openings are on each wall. This is determined by the number of posts (which can be influenced by your wind and snow load requirements).
Openings are the segments along each wall between each post. These are the areas that the screening will be placed in. Openings can have screens or windows as well as doors. We need to know the length and height of each opening. This will tell us where the posts are and the exact number and dimensions of the screen or window sections you need.
Openings can be fit with screens, windows or doors. Windows are available as an alternative to screen walls. We have four window options available. Vinyl windows have the benefit of glass without the cost or the weight. It's as transparent as glass, but not nearly as heavy, expensive or susceptible to cracking or breaking.

The online quote process will also allow you to select and configure your doors and optional items like kick plates, chair railes, frame colors, etc.

Request a Quote

The first step is to request a quote. You can do this using our guided web form, you can download and email a form to us, or you can call us at 1.800.922.4760. The goal is to define details like:

  • How many walls and openings you are screening in
  • Indicate whether you require a bottom kick-plate or not (which can be no kickplate, 18" kickplate or 24" kickplate)
  • Identify the kind of screening you want
  • Indicate desired framing color - White, Sandstone, Wheat, Bronze, or Tan
  • Any other product options available

Ideally we will require a drawing of the space you are screening in with all of the walls and dimensions. If you don't have that, we can help! See the next step "Sketch" for help with this.

Please note that we prepare thousands of quotations every year and do them on a first come first serve basis. We will generally be able to respond and complete your quotation within 1-2 days. During peak season we may require up to 3 days to complete your quote.

The Sketch

We ask for a drawing with the information requested below, so that we can simply and easily put together a materials list and cost for the correct configuration of your exact project.

  • Indicate all the existing posts which are going to be incorporated into the enclosure and the distances between each post.
  • If you have no existing posts that you want included in the installation, give distance away from house walls and distance between corners.
  • There are applications where the screen walls can be installed either inside or outside existing post locations. In order to help determine spacing between verticals in our system, you should include those post placements in your diagram.
  • Indicate whether there are existing railings and whether they are to be considered in the screen wall application.
  • Our screen wall system can incorporate as many screen doors as you need. We offer a standard 36" wide out-swing screen door with 18" bottom kickplate; including all hardware, handles and door closers. Please i ndicate, in your drawing where each door is to be placed, including the distance from house wall, existing post or corner post. In other words how many inches / feet away from the wall or post do you want your door to be placed.
  • Indicate the highest dimension from floor (deck or patio) to the existing roof line. If there is a significant variation between wall heights, be sure to list them on your drawing.

Our engineers will work with you to make sure every detail is right. Once the specifications are complete, we'll send you a quote which will include cost, details and a drawing that indicates how to use the material. Once accepted, the next step is the custom manufacturing.

Custom Manufacturing

Once we have reviewed your drawing and have all of your questions answered, we will send you your quotation which will include cost, details and a drawing that indicates how to use the material.

As soon as you approve the quote, our manufacturers where all the parts of your screen wall solution are custom cut, configured and combined into a "do it yourself" kit that's shipped right from the manufacturer's warehouse right to your door.

Formed in April 1948, our manufacturer has pioneered the design, customization and shipping residential and light commercial building products for over 70 years. With two Birmingham, AL facilities combining 300,000 square feet and locations in Raleigh, NC, Kansas City, MO and Carrolton, TX add another 125,000 square feet of warehousing and distribution space.

Installation and Beyond

This is a "materials supplied" screen room system designed to add beauty and functional 3 season living space to your home. To help you close in your existing roof line, you will receive 16' and 20' lengths of material. All material is extruded aluminum, and will be supplied in up to 4 different profiles depending on your application. You will be cutting both the vertical and horizontal profiles from these 16' & 20'lengths, and screwing them together, much like an Erector set! A chop saw with a metal blade is all you need. Our system is supplied with everything 'internal' to the kit including all the screws, mullion clips, spline, screening and weather-stripping required for your application.
